Event Recap: Education Support for Muslim Families in Halton Region Initiative Launch

On Saturday, October 5th, the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada proudly hosted a successful launch event for our new initiative, Education Support for Muslim Families at Halton District School Board. The event took place at Venture X Oakville, where families, community leaders, educators, and local stakeholders gathered to learn about this important new service.

This initiative aims to support Muslim families as they navigate the school system, offering guidance and assistance to ensure the needs of Muslim students are recognized and met. Our goal is to strengthen communication between families and schools, fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers, including community leaders and education experts, who highlighted the positive impact this service will have on both families and schools. The launch also featured interactive discussions, where community members were able to share their insights and suggestions for enhancing the initiative.

We are excited to continue our work in partnership with the Halton District School Board and the wider community, making sure that families have the resources and support they need for their children’s educational success.

We look forward to further engaging with the community as this initiative unfolds and are grateful to everyone who attended the event to help make it a success!
