Small Business of the Year Award Recipient from the Milton Chamber of Commerce

On September 29, the Milton Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s annual Community Awards to celebrate the amazing contributions of the 2021 recipients. The Muslim Advisory Council of Canada was honoured to be the recipient of the Small Business of the Year Award. With support from local businesses, the Milton Chamber of Commerce has acknowledged Milton’s finest since 1973.

The board of directors and the executive director were in attendance at the gala to receive the award. Here is an excerpt from our executive director’s speech: “I took a moment to pause and reflect on how far the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada has come in just three years. I’m filled with an immense sense of gratitude for the community’s  trust in us-its an honour and privilege to be in this role to ensure your voices are heard. Your insight and perspectives  truly matter as we continue to advocate for equitable policy solutions with each level of government. “
