Islamophobia Policy Engagement Sessions with Halton Region Elected Officials (Municipal, Regional and Federal)

On July 6, 2021,  in the aftermath of the London, Ontario deadly attack on a Muslim family, the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada held a focus group inviting local community members, stakeholders and partners to discuss policy changes the community would like to see in regards to racism, discrimination and Islamophobia.  It was a great discussion with varying perspectives brought to the table.

The following week we hosted virtual roundtable discussions with elected officials in Halton Region where we presented our community informed Islamophobia Policy Recommendations.
